Rain in Portugal
The 'Rain in Portugal' collection is a series of photographs taken at a century old monastery near Lisbon, Portugal. Richard J. Adkin is a photographer from the London, Ontario area who has spent the past decade living and working in Europe. His work is renowned for extreme saturated colours, contrast and a unique artistic perception of contemporary themes and social issues. His dedication to helping people and the community has found him collaborating with organizations, businesses, and community oriented people helping to raise funds for charitable organizations. These qualities awarded Richard a place in the 'Portrait' category of this year's Applied Arts Magazine's Photography/Illustration Annual. This September he worked on the post production photography for the new Steven Spielberg film. Presently in Hungary promoting sport and youth with Hungarian Hockey Federation.

Artist will be present at Exhibition opening reception from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2005.
