SUPPORTING OUR
FUTURE LEADERS

Patrick Byam is a young man on becoming tomorrow's leaders. Last year during the CONTACT Photography Festival I meet Patrick who came in to view the exhibit and we started to discuss international humanitarian aid issues.

What struck me about Patrick was his passion to help others and his compassion. He was preparing to travel to Cuba with some friends and ACA Gallery was able to donate some basic medicines and small toys for the children.

It was no surprise when he informed me that he was accepted at Yale for International Community Health. Recently ACA Gallery donated a limited edition photograph by Michael Sillers to raise funds their project in the Isla de Mendez. Here are some photos of the trip.

This summer, Patrick will be on an internship in Jamaica working on an Aids Pediatric floor and planning to specialize in Pediatric epidemiology upon his return to Yale. We will keep you updated on this future leader.

Students were taught elements of hygiene including brushing their teeth and hand washing techniques through engaging songs and classroom activities.
